Q: How do I buy heating oil on-line from Hometown Fuel?

A: Simple, go to our homepage and type your zip code or town in the box on the top left of the page to see if we deliver to your location. If we do click on see today's fuel oil prices. Next select the date you would like your heating oil, your tank size, tank placement, fill pipe location and amount of gallons you would like delivered and click add to order. If you would like your tank filled enter your tank size in  gallons box and we will take care of the rest. You will see your order in your shopping cart at the top right of the page, select check out and follow our simple check out options. It's that easy.

Q: If I place an order on line when will my heating oil be delivered?

A: Orders placed and received before the same day delivery time  will be delivered the same day. Orders placed and received after the same day delivery time  will be delivered the next day, unless a specific day is requested.

Q: Can I call in for my heating oil and pay cash?

A: Yes if you wish to pay cash you can order right from hometown-fuel.com or just give us a call and someone will be happy to schedule your delivery. Western Suffolk County please call 631-979-4748. Eastern Suffolk County please call 631-878-8700. Thank You. Please note if you wish to pay cash you must be home on the delivery day to pay the driver. Payment must be in the form of cash or money order sorry no checks.

Overview: Hometown-fuel.com is a heating oil company. Heating oil prices that are advertised on this Website are based upon current market conditions and are subject to change at anytime with or without notice. 

Consumer Terms & Conditions: The use of Hometown-fuel.com by you the consumer, agree that the conditions set forth in this agreement are accepted by you without modification of any of the terms and conditions herein. Your use of this Web site constitutes your agreement as a whole. Accepting these terms are legally equivalent of signing a written document. Agreement of these terms are required prior to all purchases on this Website.

Ordering/Purchasing: The consumer first searches by entering their zip code to see if Hometown-fuel.com delivers home heating oil to their town. If Hometown-fuel.com delivers to your location click on the "customize your delivery order and quantity pricing discount tab either pay by cash or pay by credit card". At this time, the consumer will enter the date they would like their heating oil, their tank size, fill pipe location and amount of gallons to be delivered. (Please note if you would like a fill up please enter that in the special instuctions box and enter your tank size in the amount of gallons to be delivered box). Then select add to order. After you click add to order you will see your shopping cart at the top of the page with your heating oil request, click on check out and follow our simple check out options. Payment for the order is then processed. If you selected pay by cash someone must be home to pay the driver, payment must be in the form of cash or money order. If you selected pay by credit/debit card your card will be pre authorized before the delivery is made and after the delivery is made your credit/debit card will be charged the actuall amount. Confirmation for the order is disbursed to the delivery truck upon clearing of funds by the merchant bank. You certify that you are the legal holder of the credit card used to purchase heating oil or any other products on Hometown-fuel.com.

Cancellations: Once the payment is confirmed and cancellation is necessary, there will be a $25.00 cancellation fee charged to the consumer's credit card. All cancellations must be done within 24 hours of schedule date. Cancellations must be performed by the consumer and they must cancel by phone at the numbers listed on our contact page. If the delivery is more than 24 hours away and it can be cancelled (cancel fee will be incurred). If the delivery has already been scheduled and is less than 24 hours away cancellation is not possible. You may attempt to contact Hometown-fuel.com and try to cancel the order (cancel fee will be incurred). Hometown-fuel.com will not be responsible for oil deliveries made even if cancellation has been attempted.

License and Insurance: Hometown-fuel.com is confirmed to be both bonded and licensed by the State of New York and Suffolk County and is properly insured for consumer protection. Consumers who purchase heating oil on Hometown-fuel.com agree not to hold Hometown-fuel.com responsible for any form of errors in delivery, non-delivery, rescheduled deliveries, property damage, problems with heating system, running out of oil or any faults that were sustained in error or by accident. Hometown-fuel.com sole purpose is to provide a convenient avenue for consumers to purchase heating oil. Under no circumstances shall Hometown-fuel.com become liable either directly or indirectly for any damages from the use of this Website. Further, you agree to indemnify Hometown-fuel.com and all of their agents from claims of any kind such as losses or damages indirectly caused by usage of this Website.

Payments: Hometown-fuel.com must login to their control panel on Hometown-fuel.com after deliveries are completed to post the amount of gallons delivered and update the price per gallon (if applicable). Once posted, Hometown-fuel.com will "close" the sale and charge the credit card.

Consumer Payments: All credit cards for online payments are pre-approved at the time the order is placed by calculating the amount of gallons ordered and multiplying by the price per gallon (plus appropriate sales tax). In some instances, mechanical meters do not stop exactly on the specified amount of oil and an over pump may occur. This can range from a few tenths of a gallon to several gallons. All over pumps will be charged to your credit card upon completion of the oil delivery. If the order was for a "fill up", we will pre-approve your credit card by multiplying your tank size by the price per gallon. Your credit card will not be billed until after the oil delivery has been made. Your final price for the order will be dependent on the quantity of gallons delivered and multiplied by the corresponding price per gallon for the allotment of oil received (plus tax if applicable). As the consumer, you agree to the pricing structure set forth on Hometown-fuel.com. (example: if you order 200 gallons and your oil tank fills up after receiving 150 gallons, you will be charged the appropriate price per gallon for 150 gallons, not the 200 gallon price) All transactions on Hometown-fuel.com will appear on your bank or credit card statement as Hometown-fuel.com. Hometown-fuel.com is a free service for consumers. By accepting the terms of this website and placing orders on Hometown-fuel.com, You, the consumer agree and certify to pay for any and all completed oil delivery orders, goods or services that you have arranged and received. Furthermore any chargebacks, (return of funds for non-authorized payments made via credit cards) for oil deliveries, goods or services rendered will not be accepted. You, the consumer, agree to pay for any bank fees, attorney fees or incidental fees including the amount of the chargeback. To ensure the protection of our consumers, our payment processing is completed on an encrypted, secure server and all transactions are authorized prior to completing your order. 

Delivery Credits/Debits: All credit card orders are pre authorized before the delivery is made. Once the delivery is complete the credit card will be charged the actuall amount, thus eliminating delivery credits or debits.

Delivery Acceptance: In most cases Hometown-fuel.com will honor all prices advertized on this site. Hometown-fuel.com reserves the right to refuse to accept an order in the event that Hometown-fuel.com has not updated their oil prices to current prices or for any reason including but not limited to truck breakdown, no oil supply, inclement weather, holiday or any other event that may cause a delay in delivery. If for any reason, Hometown-fuel.com cannot make a delivery as ordered or scheduled, the consumer will be notified by Hometown-fuel.com and other delivery arrangements will be made (if agreed to by all parties) or a cancellation of the order will be made. There will not be any cancellation fees if this occurs.

Oil Drawings: If Hometown-fuel.com should have any promotional drawings all winners agree to allow Hometown-fuel.com to use their name, City and State in any promotions or advertisements for Hometown-fuel.com. E-mail addresses and other personal information will not be used in any such advertisements. 

Liabilities and Limitations: Hometown-fuel.com is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions or lost or un-received e-mail orders or confirmations. Under no circumstances will Hometown-fuel.com become liable for any damages or injury that result from the use of the materials on Hometown-fuel.com.
